I am available to speak with groups or classes.
I’ve been a teacher
and presenter for many years and have worked with a wide variety of age
groups though most of my writing is oriented towards grades 6 and up.
I’m a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and
Illustrators.
I’d be glad to work with you to plan
a program that will suit your individual needs. Most often I work with
groups on the writing process including; getting ideas, writing dialogue,
developing characters, creating scenes, plotting and if interested,
the themes and content of my own books.
Please feel free to contact me at bob@bobkrech.com

In April 2008 Bob spoke to eighth graders at Thomas Grover Middle School,
Princeton Junction, NJ about writing and his YA novel, REBOUND.

Summer Visit to The King's English Bookshop
Salt Lake City, Utah
While on vacation up in the Rockies, I got to visit The King's English
Bookshop in Salt Lake City, Utah. Here I am in front with Margaret Brennan
Neville and REBOUND. A great bookstore! Very fun place with a very knowledgeable
staff. Stop in if you are in the area.

Walter Dean Myers (author of
GAME) and Bob Krech (author of REBOUND), with Erin Thorn and Lisa Willis of the New York Liberty, read selections from their books to local students. This event was sponsored by The Children's Book Council, the WNBA, and the NBA Store as part of the Children's Book Week Celebration in New York.

A souvenir from a recent visit to the Avenel Middle School Library
in Avenel, NJ
6th, 7th, and 8th graders heard a talk about writing and REBOUND. After some
book and postcard signing they presented me with this student-autographed
basketball! Thanks all you Avenel students and super-librarian, Mrs. Harrington!
